Live Nation x Verizon 5G Chainsmokers AR Experience was a suite of next-gen mobile AR experiences, created as part of Live Nation and Verizon’s multi-year partnership, to promote Verizon’s 5G network and The Chainsmokers 11/29 performance at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.

This project included a custom-crafted mobile AR app made available to all concert attendees as well as the first-ever 5G-powered live AR experience for Verizon VIPs. The 5G app was built for Note10 phones running on Verizon’s 5G network and delivered the world’s first live, interactive, multi-user AR concert experience.

During the Chainsmokers’ performance of “Call You Mine”, Verizon VIPs witnessed a synchronized AR concert experience localized to their location within the venue. Additionally, before and after “Call You Mine,” these VIPs could use the 5G app’s Activated Arena module to experience dynamic, audio-reactive 3D content spatially located around the stage.

The 4G version of the app available to all fans included a Chainsmokers themed Live Filter, activation-supported AR Photo Opp, geolocated AR Portal, and an AR Post Show module that allowed users to watch an AR recap video from the VIPs’ AR concert experience at home.
