CASE STUDY

APPLE MUSIC

A wide range of PHOTO + video content for the launch of Apple Music, Beats 1 RADIO, and the 2015 Apple Music Festival.

Description

Back in 2015, as Apple prepared for the then top-secret launch of Apple Music, I was tapped via the agency I co-founded and operated as CEO, The Uprising Creative, to produce and direct a wide range of photo and video content.

Everything from artful and insightful walkthroughs of the then new Apple Music product with Ian Rogers and Trent Reznor, to the initial digital announcements of the Beats 1 Radio DJs, international artist features, the full 2015 Apple Music Festival campaign, and all of the in-studio content for Beats 1 Radio, OVO SOUND Radio, and Pharrell’s OTHERtone Radio.

This was a dream project for a young agency and creative director, putting us at the helm under the direction of the incredible teams and creatives at Apple, producing 300+ shoots in 2015 alone.

Pitching, winning, and then executing such a large campaign of content that has become such an electrifying part of music history is something that I’ll always remember.

Extremely grateful for Apple’s trust in us, and the incredible crew we assembled that pushed hard every day for months to handle the volume.

My Role

Executive Producer // Director

While overseeing all of the content produced for Apple Music by The Uprising Creative as Executive Producer — 300+ individual shoots around the globe throughout 2015 — I was also able to take the helm as Director on a number of the individual projects.

These included much of the early announcement content with the Beats 1 Radio and Apple Music exec teams, the international artist features with G.E.M and JJ Lin, and the 2015 Apple Music Festival campaign with Florence + The Machine, Pharrell, One Direction, and Disclosure.
